Introducing my first chapter of the week! Yay!!
This week's chapter of the week is the Chi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega at Oregon State.
Alpha Chi Omega was installed at Oregon State University in 1915. With 120 members, the Chi chapter is thriving. In the words of the chapter, "We may be a smaller chapter compared to a lot but I think that makes our sisterhood a lot stronger than most. Our house makes an effort to be at events that support not just other houses on campus but also to show support for non Greek events."
Here are some personal testimonies from members of Alpha Chi Omega:
Lexi Bisbing, freshman
"My chapter stood out to me during recruitment because the girls seemed the most similar to me. AXO is where knew I would feel most at home and I knew I wanted to spend my college years in that house."
Dhruti Patel, sophomore
"What makes me most proud of my chapter, is that we don't have a stereotype. We are all extremely diverse yet we all still love and support each other. There isn't anyone I can't turn to in this house that wouldn't be there for me, in good times and bad."
Alli Cahill, junior
"My favorite memory of my chapter would have to be move-in day. After long summer away from the house and all of my sisters, the excitement and enthusiasm that comes with moving in is just so thrilling. That moment when you step back into your chapter house, you know you are home. Then, once everyone begins to arrive, cars being unloaded, the high-energy that everyone brings with them is something I will never forget. Only sorority girls can imagine the rush of emotions you feel when you and all your sisters are back together under one roof. When I graduate I can only predict how hard it will be to live without my fellow sisters."
Taylor Nantz, senior
"Being a part of Alpha Chi Omega has changed me as an overall person. Through Alpha Chi Omega I have made the best friends and memories. My chapter has supported me through good times and bad and has also allowed me to be active in the Corvallis community and the chapter."
As you can see, the women of AXO at Oregon State have a great sisterhood and love one another dearly, which is why I picked them as my chapter of the week!
